THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST. RESURRECTION. LIFE EVERLASTING

“ For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.” (Ref. CCC, Part I, Sec. 2, Ch.2, Art. 4-7)

The Passion and Death of Christ

The leaders of the Jewish people did not believe Jesus Christ in spite of the miracles they had seen. Their envy in the face of his miracles and the great number of those who followed him made them determined to kill him. (Jn 11:47). Their attitude is tangible proof that no miracle can convince the person who does not want to believe. One has to be willing to believe and the gift of faith must be asked of God, “Lord, increase my faith.”

THE SACRED HUMANITY OF JESUS

“I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.” (Ref. CCC, Part I, Sec. 2, Ch. 2, Art.2-3)

TAG is happy to celebrate and share with the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI’s announcement of a Year of Faith which started October 11, 2012 to end on the feast of Christ the King on November 24, 2013.

In response to the Holy Father’s Apostolic Letter, PORTA FIDEI, wherein he recommends the reading and study of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), we will be offering, here in our website, a Year of Faith Series of articles related to the CREED (profession of faith), the SACRAMENTAL ECONOMY, the MORAL LAW and CHRISTIAN PRAYER over the next several months.

This Year of Faith is a gift of God (the last one was in 1967 announced by the Venerable Pope Paul VI), a year of abundant graces which we cannot let slip by. So we hope that as you browse our website, you will be able to know and understand a little better the wealth and treasures of our Catholic faith so that it will stir your minds and hearts to seek him, if you have not found him yet; to know and love him, if you have forgotten or taken him for granted; and especially for Catholics, to carry on the call of the Holy Father for “the New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith”.
